C. Roy Steinheiser, 73, of Butler passed away at 6:35 p.m. Thursday at the VNA Inpatient Hospice.

He was born Dec. 17, 1939, in Butler, the son of the late Victor C. Steinheiser and the late Dorothy (Wonderly) Steinheiser.

He was a member of St. Peter's Anglican Church, where he was an usher. He belonged to the Argyle Lodge 540, New Castle Consistory, the Syria Shrine, the Syria Motor Corps, Roadrunners, was a Meals on Wheels volunteer and member of NRA.

Surviving are his wife, Donna M. (Fulk) Steinheiser; three sons, Larry (Donna) Steinheiser of Butler, Terry (Kathy) Steinheiser of Renfrew and Aaron (Lora) Steinheiser of Butler; one daughter, Sharon Steinheiser of Maryland; one daughter-in-law, Sandy Steinheiser of Florida; 12 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; one sister, Vickie (Randy) Lee of Arlington, Tenn.; and four brothers, Rod (Sandy) Steinheiser of Albion, Glen (Linda) Steinheiser of New Castle, Dee (Elaine) Steinheiser of Florida and Seth Steinheiser of West Sunbury.

He was preceded in death by his son, Donnie Victor Steinheiser, and his sister, Susan Purvis.

STEINHEISER — Friends of C. Roy Steinheiser, who died Thursday, March 7, 2013, will be received at the Young Funeral Home, 127 W. Jefferson St., Butler, from 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday and from 1 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 9 p.m. Monday.A memorial service will be at St. Peter's Anglican Church, 218 E. Jefferson St., Butler, at 3 p.m. Tuesday with the Rev. Andrew DeFucio officiating.A Masonic service will be at the funeral home at 5:45 p.m. Monday by Argyle Lodge 540.In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Meals on Wheels, 218 E.
