Linda Lee Logan McDevitt, 74, of Salina, Kan., formerly of Chicora, passed away Wednesday.

She was born to the late Wayne and Geraldine Logan on Oct. 1, 1938, in Chicora.

Linda graduated from Chicora High School in 1956 and received a bachelor's of science degree in early education from Indiana University of Pennsylvania in 1960. She married William L. McDevitt in 1960 and had two sons, Bill and Dan.

The family lived in Butler; Reisterstown, Md.; O'Fallon, Mo.; Salina, Kan.; and Leawood, Kan.

Linda was an elementary school teacher at Oakdale School in Salina, Kan., until she retired in 2000.

Linda was an active member of the Sunrise Presbyterian Church in Salina, initially as an organist and then pianist. She was a volunteer at Salina Presbyterian Manor and an avid Jayhawk basketball fan.

Linda is survived by her husband, William L. McDevitt at home; her sons, the late Dan McDevitt, Bill (Laci) McDevitt of Overland Park, Kan.; her granddaughter, Norah McDevitt; and her sister, Susan Blythe of State College, Pa.

MCDEVITT — A memorial service for Linda Lee Logan McDevitt, who passed away Wednesday, March 6, 2013, will be later at the Sunrise Presbyterian Church in Salina, Kan.A graveside service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Hemphill Cemetery, Chicora, with the Rev. Wade Berkey of the United Methodist Church in Bruin officiating.In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be sent to Compassionate Friends of Salina, Kan. c/o First Southern Baptist Church, 2401 S.
