Donna L. Carlsson, 74, of Haycock Township, Bucks County, formerly of Kane, Pa., passed away Sunday at St. Luke’s Hospital, Bethlehem, Pa.

She was born Nov. 10, 1938, in Chicago, Ill., and was the daughter of the late Fred and Edna (Larson) Wirth.

Donna was an administrative assistant at Kane Community Hospital for 25 years before retiring.

She was a member of the St. James Lutheran Church, Coopersburg, Pa., where she enjoyed singing in the choir. Donna was known locally as a stain-glass artisan. She was a member of the Kane Players, the Kane Chorus, the Ridgeway Chorus, and the Meadville Chorus. The Carlssons lived in Evans City before moving to Kane. Donna was a loving grandmother and cherished moments spent with her family.

She is survived by her husband, the Rev. Dr. Andrew E. Carlsson, they celebrated their 55th wedding anniversary in 2012; her sister, Mrs. James (Beverly) Scheskie of Des Plaines, Ill.; her children, Dr. Mark (Marcie) Carlsson, Mrs. Richard (Jennifer) Bartek, and Peter Carlsson, all of Butler, Mrs. Gary (Linda) Bryce of South Park, and Mrs. Greg (Kristen) Hassler of Haycock Township; her 17 grandchildren; and her two great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her sister, Shirley.

CARLSSON — Funeral arrangements for Donna L. Carlsson, who passed away Sunday March 3, 2013, are being handled by the Stephens Funeral Home, Coopersburg, Pa.

Services are at 11 a.m. today at the St. James Lutheran Church, Coopersburg. Interment will be in the Tabor Lutheran Church with burial at Mt. Tabor Cemetery on Saturday in Kane, Pa.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be made to Kane Community Hospital or Tabor Lutheran Church, Kane, Pa.
