Elizabeth 'Betty' Barracchini Morabito

Mrs. Elizabeth “Betty” Barracchini Morabito, 90, of Ellwood City passed away surrounded by her family at her home Saturday after an extended illness.

She was a loving mother and grandmother, and was dedicated to her family. Betty enjoyed cooking, playing bingo and taking occasional trips to Las Vegas.

She was married for 39 years to Alfred “Freddy” Morabito, who passed away in 1982.

She is survived by three married children, Cecelia Rose and her husband, Larry, Bob Morabito and his wife, Cindy, and JoAnne Stevens and her husband, Bill, all of Ellwood City; and her daughter-in-law, Mrs. Alfred (Judy) Morabito of New Brighton. Betty's son, Alfred, preceded her in death in 1992.

She also is survived by nine grandchildren, Bill (Kelly) Stevens Jr. of Darlington, Randy Stevens of Ellwood City, Butch (Christine) Barr of Ellwood City, Tammy (Greg) Dunsmore of Butler, Brandy Houk and her fiance, Shawn Diefenderfer, of Ellwood City, Sherri Large of New Brighton, Tony Morabito of New Brighton, Danielle Morabito and her friend, Joel Stinson, of Ellwood City, and Katie Morabito of Ellwood City; her 16 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and her sister, Yolunda (Goldie) Morgan of Chewton, Pa.; and many nieces and nephews.

MORABITO — Friends of Mrs. Elizabeth “Betty” Barracchini Morabito, who died Saturday, March 2, 2013, will be received 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, with a blessing service to follow immediately at the Samuel Teolis Funeral Home, 309 Spring Ave., Ellwood City.
