Fred A. Paine

Fred A. Paine, 87, of Cranberry Township passed away Wednesday.

He was born in Union City, N.J.

Fred proudly served his country during World War II in the U.S. Army Air Corps as a P-51 fighter pilot. After being honorably discharged, he graduated from West Virginia University and began his career with Worthington Pump, retiring after 40 years.

He was the beloved husband for 61 years of Joan (DeZeller) Paine; loving father of Stephen (Jenny) Paine and Randal (Myrna) Paine; and proud grandfather of Anthony (Alaina) Paine, Sarah (Matthew) Sotile, Katherine, Vincent, Michael and Rebecca Paine. He also is survived by five great-grandsons, and was the brother of Rosemarie Foerch.

PAINE — Friends of Fred A. Paine, who passed away Wednesday, Feb. 27, 2013, will be received from 10:30 a.m. to noon today at the DEVLIN FUNERAL HOME, 2678 Rochester Road, Cranberry Township, 724- 772-8800.
