Ruth A. Bauer
Ruth A. Bauer, 99, of Palm Harbor, Fla, formerly of Butler, passed away Thursday at the Brookside Hospice House, Palm Harbor, Fla.
She was born May 20, 1913, in Skiatook, Okla., and was the daughter of Robert A. and Mary (Campbell) Stroup.
Ruth spent much of her life in the Butler area. She attended Butler Beauty School and Indiana (Pa.) University. She was employed for many years with the Butler County Public Assistance Office as a clerical supervisor before retiring in 1978.
She is survived by her two nephews, Richard L. Stroup and his wife, Nancy, of Evans City and Robert L. Stroup and his wife, Corlene, of Harborcreek, Pa.
Ruth was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Kenneth Bauer, who died in 1999; a brother, R. Ardell Stroup; and a sister, Jean Gibson.
BAUER — At the request of Ruth A. Bauer, who passed away Thursday Feb. 21, 2013, services and interment will be private.
