Paul E. “Hoover” Marshall, 78, of Middlesex Township, Valencia, died Monday afternoon at LAS St. John Specialty Care Center in Mars.

He was born in Cooperstown, Pa. on July 21, 1934, and he was the son of the late Nicholas and Glee Truver Marshall.

Hoover was an independent truck driver for many years. and later he worked as a retail sales associate for his son, Paul.

He was a member of Glade Run United Presbyterian Church in Cooperstown. He belonged to West View Hunting and Fishing Club and the Penn-Glade Lions Club.

He was a member of the John E. Mair Lodge 729, F.&A.M, the Syria Shrine Caravan 14, and the Hillbillies of the Shrine.

He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.

Surviving are his wife, Jane B. Hoffman Marshall, who he married on Sept. 11, 1954; his children, Cindy Garver and her husband, Bruce, of Gibsonia, Paul Marshall and his wife, Pam, of Kent, Ohio, and Jeff Marshall and his wife, Michelle, of Franklin Park; his grandchildren, Jennifer, Jackie, Jessica, Jocelyn, Taylor, Drew and the late David; his great- grandchildren, Lucas and Madison; three sisters, Pearl Love and Glee Lang, both of Middlesex Township, and Birdie Kroll in Ohio; a brother, Roy “Cap” Marshall and his wife, Coreen, of Middlesex Township; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his siblings, Sam “Jack”, William, Charles, Robert, James and Joy “Joe” Marshall, and Jane Filipow.

MARSHALL — Friends of Paul E. “Hoover” Marshall, who died Monday Feb. 25, 2013, will be received at McDonald-Aeberli Funeral Home, 238 Crowe Ave. Mars, from 1 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday.Services will be in Glade Run United Presbyterian Church, 1091 Pittsburgh Road Valencia, PA 16059, at 11 a.m. Thursday with the Rev. Greg Wiest, pastor, officiating. Please meet at the church.
