3 theater groups schedule auditions
Comtra Theatre, Route 19 in Cranberry Township, will conduct auditions for “Nunset Boulevard,” the latest in the “Nunsense” series, from noon to 2:30 p.m. Saturday and 1 to 3:30 p.m. Sunday. Performances will be May 24 to June 8 at the Comtra and in September in Cook Forrest.

The Red Barn Players will conduct auditions for the summer season at 2 p.m. April 7 in Ellwood City, and at 7 p.m. April 11 in Zelienople.
The Ellwood City auditions will be held at the Holy Redeemer Ministry Center, 603 Bridge St., while the Zelienople auditions will be at Calvin Presbyterian Church, 415 E. Grandview Ave.
Shows to be cast are:
• “Around the World in 80 Days,” a comedy, running May 31, June 1, 6 to 8 and 13 to 15
• “The Sound of Music,” a musical, running July 5 and 6, 10 to 13 and 17 to 20
• “The Entrepreneurs,” a farce, running Sept. 13 and 14, 19 to 21 and 26 to 28.
Those auditioning for the musical are to prepare a Broadway-style song to be sung either a cappella or with CD accompaniment. Children can prepare any type of song for the audition.

The Summer Company will conduct auditions for the season from 1 to 5 p.m. April 13 and 14 in the Peter Mills Auditorium in Duquesne University’s Rockwell Hall, 600 Forbes Avenue, Pittsburgh.
Men and women age 17 and older may audition and should prepare a two-minute contemporary monologue. These are non-equity auditions. Walk-ins are welcome.
Shows will be:
• “State of the Union” by Russel Crouse and Howard Lindsay, opening June 6
• “A Slight Case of Murder” by Damon Runyon and Howard Lindsay, opening July 18
• “Cat on a Hot Tin Roof” by Tennessee Williams, opening Aug. 22.
