Jack Sampsel

Jack B. Sampsel, 73, of Butler passed away at 2:20 a.m. Wednesday at the Sunnyview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

He was born May 12, 1939, in Howard, Pa., to the late Blaine Sampsel and Cora Corman Sampsel.

Mr. Sampsel was a veteran of the U.S. Army.

He was the owner and operator of the former Stover and Sampsel Auto Wrecking. He was a member of the Butler Area Street Machine Association and the KKOA (Kustom Kemps of America).

Mr. Sampsel is survived by his wife, Margaret O'Donnell Sampsel, who he married April 18, 1997; one son, Rusty Sampsel and his wife, Sharon, of Lapeer, Mich.; one stepson, Brian Wheeler and his wife, Nichole, of Butler; seven step-grandchildren; one step-great-grandchild; one sister, Jane Hagen and her husband, Vance, of Milesburg, Pa.; two brothers, Robert Sampsel and his wife, Molly, of Bellefonte, Pa., and James Sampsel and his wife, Gloria, of Howard, Pa.; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by an infant son, Jack Sampsel Jr.

SAMPSEL — Friends of Jack B. Sampsel, who passed away Wednesday, Feb. 13, 2013, will be received from 3 to 5 p.m. Saturday at the Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, 124 E. North St., Butler.A memorial service will be held immediately following at 5 p.m. with Pastor Dennis L.
