Mary E. Corbett

Mary Elizabeth King Corbett, 91, formerly of Petrolia and East Brady, passed away Thursday at the Chicora Medical Center.

Mary was born Jan. 25, 1922, in East Brady to John Wesley and Christina (Greenawalt) King.

She married David Lewis Corbett in October 1937.

She and her husband were the owners of a longtime family business in Petrolia, having founded Corbett Excavating in 1946 and Corbett Concrete in 1950.

After retirement, they enjoyed traveling around the United States, Alaska, Mexico and Newfoundland. Mary and Dave wintered in Florida and spent their summers in Seybertown, near East Brady, on the King farm.

Mary is survived by two sons, Terry King Corbett and his wife, Marilyn, of Chicora and Dennis R. Corbett and his companion, Kathy Williams, of Petrolia; six grandchildren, Ty Alan Corbett of Chicora, Dayna Leigh Collwell of Seybertown, Devin Eric Corbett of Chicora, Amy Christine Regan and her husband, Patrick, of Glenshaw and Brent David Corbett and his wife, Joanie, of Rimersburg; 10 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband in 1989, three brothers and two sisters.
