Louise Morrison Bloom

Louise Morrison Bloom, 88, of Connoquenessing Township passed away Tuesday at her home.

Daughter of the late Charles C. and Verna Painter Morrison, she was born March 22, 1924, in Slate Lick, Armstrong County.

She was a retired registered nurse from Butler Memorial Hospital and the Butler VA Medical Center.

Louise was a member of the White Oak Springs Presbyterian Church, where she was a former deacon and Sunday school teacher and enjoyed singing in the church choir. She was a member of the Butler Hospital Alumni and the Butler Hospital Auxiliary.

Mrs. Bloom was a faithful volunteer for more than 40 years at the Connoquenessing Meals on Wheels.

She is survived by her son, Andrew (Kimberly) Bloom of Connoquenessing Township; her daughter, Dr. Christine Bloom of Sherman Oaks, Calif.; one niece, Margaret Morrison of Butler; and three nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John C. Bloom, who passed away Dec. 1, 1980; and one brother and sister-in-law, Robert and Martha Morrison.

BLOOM — A memorial service for Louise Morrison Bloom, who passed away Tuesday, Feb. 5, 2013, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in the White Oak Springs Presbyterian Church with Pastor Lee Dreyer officiating.Memorial contributions may be made to the Connoquenessing Meals on Wheels, c/o Carol Rinker, 475 Main St., Prospect, PA 16052.Funeral arrangements were entrusted to the Edward L.
