Ethan Mitchell and Zach McClelland perform in Grove City College's spring production, Shakespeare's “Measure for Measure.”

GROVE CITY — “Measure for Measure” will open tonight on the Grove City College main stage.

Curtain is at 7:30 p.m. nightly through Saturday in Ketler Auditorium of the Pew Fine Arts Center. Doors open at 7 p.m.

Tickets are required but are free.

“Measure for Measure,” a problem comedy by William Shakespeare, is being directed by Dr. James Dixon, chairman of the college’s English department.

The play’s plot centers on Angelo, the righteous deputy empowered by the Duke of Vienna to rule while he wanders about disguised as a friar to investigate the moral decay of his dukedom.

The cast includes:

Andy Hickly as Duke; Stephen Horst as Angelo; Ethan Kreimeyer as Escalus; Sam Leuenberger as Lucio; Jacob Roberts as Claudio; Jesse McKinnis as Provost; Ethan Mitchell as Pompey; Anna Kitchin as Isabella; Laura Doherty as Mariana; Victoria Benyo as Juliet; Annie York as Francisca; Paige Polesnak as Mistress Overdone; Ashley White Brothers as Nun; Nick Allaman as Friar Peter; Caleb Fite as Elbow; Zach McClelland as Froth; Taylor Leick as Abhorson, Gentleman 2; Grayson Quay as Baradine; and Tim Lagoy as Justice and Gentleman 1.
