Virginia R. 'Ginny' Koehler
Virginia R. “Ginny” Koehler, 85, of Saxonburg passed away Saturday at UPMC Passavant, Pittsburgh.
Born April 5, 1927, in York, Pa., she was the daughter of Henry J. Kraus and Nellie Bains Kraus Schmidt.
Ginny had worked at the North Pittsburgh Telephone Co. and retired from the South Butler County School District, where she had been a secretary.
She enjoyed making hook rugs, gardening and word search puzzles.
Surviving are her daughters, Anna (Dennis) Rickert of Hadley, Pa., Sheri (Bill) Rodgers of Butler, Charlene Koehler of Butler and Kim Watson of Butler.
She also is survived by five grandchildren, Bob, Mark, Betty Jo, Becky and Madison, and seven great-grandchildren.
Ginny was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Charles Koehler on Nov. 17, 1985, and one great-grandson.
