SRU offers bluebird workshop
Bluebirds will be the topic of a workshop Saturday at Slippery Rock University's Macoskey Center.
SLIPPERY ROCK — Slippery Rock University’s Robert A. Macoskey Center will offer a free bluebird workshop from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday at the center, 247 Harmony Road.
Participants will learn about bluebird habitat, gain knowledge of strategies for attracting the songbird and build a nest box for use at home.
Harry Schmeider, president of the Bluebird Society of Pennsylvania and Butler County coordinator, will present “The Fledging Experience” all about bluebirds.
