Garrie Hindman

Garrie L. Hindman, 73, of Bruin passed away early Thursday morning at his home following an extended illness.

Born in Butler County on July 24, 1939, he was the son of the late James LeRoy “Buck” and Dorothy A. Hutchinson Hindman.

Garrie was a longtime member and operator of Local Union (Construction) 323 of Butler, and was retired from the C&K Coal Co. of Clarion County.

He enjoyed attending many classic car shows, was an avid NASCAR fan and loved watching football. Garrie also was fond of tending to his pet dogs, Skeeter and Buttons.

Surviving are his wife, Judy F. Bowser Hindman, who he married Sept. 13, 1973; two sons, Tim and his wife, Tammy Bowser, and John Bowser, all of Chicora; seven grandchildren, Joshua, Jeremy, Breanna, Tausha, Seth, Brandyn and Bradley Bowser, all of Chicora; one brother, Sherell Hindman of Emlenton; and a number of nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Delton Hindman, on June 24, 2012.

HINDMAN — Friends of Garrie L. Hindman, who died Thursday, Jan. 24, 2013, may call from 6 to 9 p.m. today at the H. Jack Buzard Funeral Home, 201 S. Wayne Ave., Parker. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home with Rodger Whited, a family friend, officiating.
