Christine Cleva

Christina M. Serrao Cleva, 98, of Zelienople passed away Monday at Passavant Retirement Community.

Christine was born on Aug. 8, 1914, and was the daughter of the late Gregory Serrao and Teresa (Lazzaro) Serrao.

She married Urbino Cleva early in life, but became a widow in 1944. Together they had two children, to whom she dedicated her life to continue raising on her own.

She was known to be hard-working throughout her life. She went on to beauty school to begin a hair salon business in her own home. Above all, she had a strong faith in God and was a loving mother to her two children.

She is survived by her two sons, Norman Cleva and his wife, Sandra, of Irwin, Pa., and their daughter, Brittany; and Stanley Cleva and his wife, Dorlaie, of Cranberry Township and their two children.

In addition to her parents, Christine was preceded in death by her husband, Urbino Cleva, and her four brothers.

CLEVA — Friends of Christina M. Serrao Cleva, who passed away Monday, Jan. 14, 2013, will be received from noon until the time of the funeral service at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Passavant Retirement Community's Seaman Memorial Chapel with the Rev.
