Savage

Ellen Jean Savage, 83, of Butler passed away at 2:40 a.m. Friday at the Sunnyview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

She was born Feb. 21, 1929, in New Castle, the daughter of the late Ralph Lester Kroesen and the late Mary (Campbell) Kroesen.

She enjoyed dancing and crocheting, bowling and roller skating. She was a member of the Butler Elks 170.

Surviving are her daughter, Cyndy (Bo) Lorenz of Butler; two sons, Charles D. Savage of Virginia Beach, Va., and George T. (Angie) Savage Jr. of Kirkland, Wash.; her sister, Gloria Young of Bessemer; two brothers, Don (Carol) Kroesen of New Castle and Dick (Marie) Kroesen of New Castle; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and one sister in law, Audrey Kroesen.

She was preceded in death by her husband, George T. Savage Sr., who died March 4, 2004; three brothers; and one sister.

SAVAGE — Friends of Ellen Jean Savage, who passed away Friday, Jan. 11, 2013, will be received at the Young Funeral Home, 127 W. Jefferson St., Butler, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 until time of service at 8 p.m. Monday with the Rev. Terry Stoops officiating.

Private interment will be in Castleview Cemetery, New Castle.
