NATHAN STEELE (Seneca Valley), a member of the Penn State Behrend men’s volleyball team, recorded 11 kills and five digs in a 3-0 loss to 12th-ranked Vassar College at the United Volleyball Conference Crossover at Medaille College on Saturday, then followed up with a team-high eight kills and added four digs in a 3-0 triumph over Bard College on Sunday morning.

JESSICA VITOUS (Slippery Rock), set a Clarion University women’s indoor record by leaping 17 feet, 3 1/4 inches in the long jump at the Baldwin-Wallace Invitational on Friday.

BRIAN GIESLER (Slippery Rock), a sophomore forward on the Grove City College men’s basketball team, dropped in 17 points and added five rebounds in an 80-75 overtime victory against Geneva College Saturday. Giesler also hit a 3-pointer with 10 seconds left in regulation to tie the game, then drew a charge with two seconds left that sent the game into overtime.
