M. Anna Lenyk

M. Anna Lenyk, 95, formerly of Crisswell Road, died Friday at New Haven Court, Butler.

Born Nov. 26, 1917, in Colver, Pa., she was a daughter of the late John and Mary (Zambiski) Sziszurak.

She was a retired clerk for Bartoli’s Cleaners on Mercer Street in Butler, retiring after 20 years in 1992.

She was a member of the SS. Peter and Paul Ukrainian Orthodox Church in Lyndora, the ladies guild at the church, the Order of Eastern Star Maqueda Chapter 421 in Butler, the White Shrine of Jerusalem in Butler, the Order of Maranth in Butler, the South Butler Ladies Auxiliary and AARP.

Surviving are her two sons, Robert (Jo) G. Lenyk of Buford, Ga., and Richard (Jane) M. Lenyk Sr., of Latham, N.Y.; four grandchildren, Richard M. Lenyk Jr., Christopher Lenyk, Scott Lenyk and Sheri Lenyk; three great-grandchildren, Noah, Logan and Madison; two sisters, Mrs. Marcel (Genevieve) Gall and Marie Aldinger, all of Butler; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, George P. Lenyk, who she married Feb. 16, 1946, and who died March 24, 2002; and one sister, Helen Swidzinski.

LENYK — Friends of M. Anna Lenyk, who died Friday, Jan. 4, 2013, will be received at the Geibel Funeral Home, 201 E. Cunningham St., Butler from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Monday. Parastas services will be at 7 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. The Rev. Paisius McGrath, pastor, will officiate. Internment will follow in the Rose Hill Cemetery, Butler.
