Leona Greenert

Leona May Greenert, 86, of Butler died Monday evening at Butler Memorial Hospital.

Born Sept. 28, 1926, in Butler, she was a daughter of the late Clifford J. Miller and Ruth (Hemphill) Miller-Weigle.

Leona had worked as a secretary for the Butler VA Hospital, and before that, for Pullman Standard. She was a member of the Faith Fellowship Alliance Church in Butler.

Surviving are her son, Bruce (Robin) Daubenspeck of Butler; two grandsons, Daniel (Olivia) Daubenspeck and Justin Daubenspeck, all of Butler; one great-grandson, Luke Daubenspeck; one brother, Dale (Shirley) Miller of Winter Haven, Fla.; and her faithful companion, Slice.

She was preceded in death by her husbands, Leroy G. Greenert and Richard Daubenspeck.

GREENERT — Friends of Leona May Greenert, who died Monday, Dec. 31, 2012, will be received at the Geibel Funeral Home, 201 E. Cunningham St., Butler, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday.Information also is available at www.geibelfuneralhome.com.
