Frances Rhyshek

Frances A. Rhyshek, 93, of Saxonburg passed away Wednesday at Sugar Creek Rest.

Born June 29, 1919, in Freeport, she was the daughter of Joseph Olczak and Mary Bogacki Olczak.

Fran worked as a gardener for Charlotte’s Greenhouse and also worked at Cranmer’s Dairy, Saxonburg Baker and Berger’s Market.

She was a member of Holy Sepulcher Roman Catholic Church. She enjoyed gardening, baking, canning, crocheting and puzzles.

Surviving are two sons, John F. (Judy) Rhyshek of Saxonburg and Edward C. Rhyshek of Saxonburg; one daughter, Patricia (Charles) Penny of Saxonburg; four grandchildren, Jennifer (Paul Weidner) Rhyshek of Philadelphia, John C. Rhyshek of King Salmon, Alaska, Joseph Rhyshek of Saxonburg and Charles J. Penny of Warren, Ohio; and two great-grandchildren, Jillian G. and Jannah Rhyshek of Philadelphia.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, John Rhyshek; eight brothers; and five sisters.

RHYSHEK — There will be no visitation for Frances A. Rhyshek, who passed away Wednesday, Jan. 2, 2013.A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Holy Sepulcher Roman Catholic Church with the Rev. John Gizler officiating. Interment will follow in Saxonburg Memorial Church Cemetery.Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.Arrangements are entrusted to Fox Funeral Home, Saxonburg, and information also is available at www.foxfuneralhomeinc.com.
