Naomi E. Billingslee Wick

Naomi E. Billingslee Wick, 90, formerly of Butler, passed away at 4:15 p.m. Monday at the Communities at Indiana Haven in Indiana, Pa.

She was born Jan. 9, 1922, in Black Lick Township, Indiana County, to the late Matthew Billingslee and Elizabeth Graham Billingslee.

Mrs. Wick was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Butler. She was a 1938 graduate of Blairsville High School and also a 1942 graduate of Indiana State Teachers College.

Mrs. Wick was a home economics teacher, teaching at the Brush Valley, Worthington, West Sunbury, Albion and Butler school districts. After teaching, she worked as a dietitian at the Butler Memorial Hospital. In her later years, she worked at the family business, Wick Implement.

Mrs. Wick was a board member of the Butler Farm Show and a member of the Butler Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star.

Mrs. Wick is survived by four nephews; four nieces; and by several great nephews and great nieces.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert A. Wick, who she married on June 29, 1943, and who passed away on May 16, 2004; and by one brother, Robert M. Billingslee.

WICK — Naomi E. Billingslee Wick passed away Monday, Dec. 31, 2012. There will be no public visitation and a private service will be held. Burial will be in the West Sunbury Union Cemetery.

Arrangements are being handled by the Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, 124 E. North St., Butler.
