Opperman

Carl Michael Opperman, 32, of Butler passed away at 4:10 p.m. Thursday at his home.

He was born Nov. 22, 1980, in Pittsburgh to the late Timothy Eugene Opperman and the late Dana Jean (Bayless) Opperman.

Carl enjoyed collecting knives and swords. His greatest love and joy was caring for and spending time with his daughter, Lilly. Carl was a lifelong fan of Bob Marley.

Carl is survived by his wife, Celeste Opperman; one daughter, Lilly Opperman; one brother, James Q. Opperman II and his wife, Christine, of Florence, Ky.; one sister, Lorralee Opperman of Butler; his maternal grandmother, Caroline A. Bayless of Butler; his paternal grandmother, Jean Opperman of Pittsburgh; a number of nieces and nephews; and a number of aunts, uncles and cousins.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandfathers, I. Dan Bayless and James Q. Opperman.

OPPERMAN — There will be no public visitation or funeral for Carl Michael Opperman, who passed away Thursday, Dec. 27, 2012. Arrangements are being handled by the Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, 124 E. North St., Butler.
