Ardith Hay

Ardith M. Hay, 87, of Winter Springs, Fla., formerly of Butler, went to be with her heavenly father on Friday at the Tuskawilla Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Florida.

She was born in Butler and was the daughter of the late Francis and Alda Herold. She has been a resident of Winter Springs since 1975 and was preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, Robert, who passed away Dec. 22, 2012.

Ardith had many years of banking experience, having worked in California, Texas and Florida. She was a loving sister and aunt who loved her family members visiting her in Florida. Ardith was a member of the Ascension Lutheran Church in Casselberry, Fla.

She is survived by two brothers, Karl Herold of Franklin Township and James Herold of Butler; her nieces and nephews, Karl Herold Jr. of Butler, Judith Raisley of Prospect, Dave Herold of Prospect, Pam Schmidt of Butler, Amanda Fisher of Butler, Danny Herold of Saxonburg and Richard Herold of Butler; and many great-nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her sister, Elizabeth Herold Shaffer, and nephew, Ronald Shaffer.

HAYS — Ardith M. Hay passed away Friday, Jan. 25, 2013. Visitation with a funeral service to follow will be from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Baldwin-Fairchild Chapel, in Florida.
