WARRENDALE — For those looking to spruce up their homes, the seventh annual Cranberry Home Show Jan. 25-27 at the Four Points Sheraton Pittsburgh North at 910 Sheraton Drive will have plenty of eye-popping ideas and displays.

It kicks off at 5 p.m. Friday and continues from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Saturday and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday.

The free show has vendors and exhibitors offering a variety of products and services.

Visitors can get ideas, investigate new products, gather information and talk to professionals to help make their next project — such as remodeling, renovating, landscaping or decorating — easier.

Dominic Baragona, president of MidAmerica Events in Niles, Ohio, said the theme of the show is ambience.

Attendees won’t see hundreds of exhibitors filling a large space, he said. Rather, they will see about a hundred top quality exhibitors in an atmosphere of rich decor and chandeliers at the Four Points Sheraton.

“The exhibitors pull out all the stops in their presentations. They’re appealing to the upscale clientele,” said Baragona.

Visitors will be greeted with music played on a grand piano, which is part of the show’s theme and appeal.

A unique feature of the event will be a live stage show by auctioneer Dave Dangerfield.

Those attending can bring antiques and collectibles to have them appraised for free during the live show from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.

The exhibitors will showcase kitchens, room additions, windows, doors, sunrooms, fencing, fitness spas, remodeling contractors, landscaping, decks, flooring, appliances, home security, basements, cabinets, waterproofing, and bathrooms.

John Koontz, owner of the Restoro Polish Co. of Mars, said this is the first time he will showcase his product at a home show.

“I have never done a home show before. This is less than four miles from me, I thought I have to do it to find out,” said Koontz.

Gary Ferguson, owner of Ferguson’s Free Energy in Mars, which specializes in wood, gas and pellet fireplaces, stoves and inserts, also will be an exhibitor for the first time.

“We are a local company and have been in business for 30 years. With all the growth in the area, there a lot of people new to the area that maybe don’t know that we’re here,” Ferguson said.

“We want to make sure that people know who we are, where we are and what we do.”
