JACKSON TWP — Seneca Valley football stars Forrest Barnes (running back) and Dean Ketterer (offensive lineman) have been chosen to represent Pennsylvania in June’s Big 33 Football Classic against high school all-stars from Ohio.

PHILADELPHIA — The Philadelphia Eagles have interviewed former Ravens coach and current Fox analyst Brian Billick for their coaching vacancy, a person familiar with the meeting told The Associated Press on Sunday.Billick, who led Baltimore to a Super Bowl title in the 2000 season, met with the Eagles last Monday, according to the person who spoke on condition of anonymity because he wasn't authorized to discuss it.

NEW YORK — Bill Cowher insists he's staying in the studio and not returning to the sideline.Cowher says Saturday on CBS' “The NFL Today” that he has no plans to coach in the NFL, a few days after telling Newsday that he probably would come back at some point. The 55-year-old Cowher is an analyst for CBS who coached the Pittsburgh Steelers from 1992-2006. He won a Super Bowl after the 2005 season.Cowher says he plans “on being with one team, and that is this team here at CBS. I know we are going to the Super Bowl.”He told Newsday on Tuesday that returning to coaching after a long layoff is motivation for him to come back, but hadn't been contacted by any teams looking for a new coach.

RALEIGH, N.C. — The Carolina Hurricanes are making some moves the day after the official end of the NHL lockout.The Hurricanes on Sunday traded goaltender Brian Boucher and defenseman Mark Alt to the Philadelphia Flyers in exchange for center Luke Pither.The 36-year-old Boucher has spent most of his 14-year NHL career as a backup. He started eight games last season, losing all but one of them. Alt was drafted by the Hurricanes in 2010. The 21-year-old defenseman had five goals and 17 assists for the Minnesota Golden Gophers last season.

VANCOUVER, British Columbia — The Vancouver Canucks have signed defenseman Cam Barker to a one-year deal.Barker was originally selected by the Chicago Blackhawks third overall in the 2004 draft, behind Washington's Alex Ovechkin and Pittsburgh's Evgeni Malkin.Barker missed most of last season with an ankle injury that required surgery.

PITTSBURGH — Ronald Roberts Jr. posted his sixth double-double of the season and Saint Joseph's held off Duquesne 74-66 Saturday night in Atlantic 10 Conference action.Roberts had 13 points and 11 rebounds for the Hawks (9-5, 1-1), who have won four of their last five games.
