Lucille J. Sarteschi, 97, a resident of Manor Care, Camp Hill, Pa., formerly of Butler, passed away Saturday at Harrisburg Hospital.

Born in Butler, on July 26, 1915, she was the daughter of the late Salvatore and Leonarda DeFoggi.

Lucille was a graduate of Butler High School, Class of 1933, and was formerly employed at the Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission. She was a member of the Saint Paul Roman Catholic Church in Butler.

She is survived by one daughter, Sandra Sarteschi Laconi and her husband, Reggie Laconi, of Carmel, Ind.; one son, Bruce J. Sarteschi and his wife, Dorothea Arnold Sarteschi, of Harrisburg; six grandsons, Dr. Bradley Laconi of Indianapolis, Bruce D. Laconi of Zionsville, Ind., Lance L. Laconi of Carmel, Ind., Joseph V. Laconi of Woodstock, Ga., and Jamison W. Sarteschi and Joseph P. Sarteschi of New York City; 11 great-grandchildren, Lindsey, Paige, Nick, Joe, Lexi, Maria, Vincent, Luke, Jacob, Cassidy and Dillon Laconi; one sister, Dorothy V. Kriley of Renfrew; and a number of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 73 years, Leo Paul Sarteschi, who passed away Dec. 7, 2009; five brothers, Tony, James, Joseph, Albert and Arthur DeFoggi; and three sisters, Laura Yates, Ann Serventi and Betty Spagnola.

SARTESCHI — Friends of Lucille J. Sarteschi, who died Saturday, Dec. 8, 2012, will be received at the Geibel Funeral Home, 201 E. Cunningham St., Butler, from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Saint Paul Roman Catholic Church, 128 N. McKean St., Butler. Burial will follow at North Side Cemetery, Butler.

St. Paul’s Catholic Women and Christian Mothers will meet at 9:35 a.m. Saturday at the church to recite the rosary.
