Rita Catherine Baker, 83, of Butler, formerly of Worthington, passed away Wednesday at her home.

She was born Nov. 25, 1929, in Blairsville, Pa., the daughter of the late Paul Jellison and Christine (Bolen) Jellison.

Rita attended the Graceway Church. She was a member of a craft group in Worthington, and she had volunteered for the Armstrong County Memorial Hospital and the Worthington Public Library. She enjoyed reading, sudoku puzzles, crocheting and crafts.

She retired from the U.S. Navy Weapons Station as a human resource specialist.

Surviving are her daughter, Barbara (Ronald) Hawk of Worthington; three sons, William “Butch” (Linda) Kaylor of Butler, Thomas (Pamela) Kaylor of Butler and Robert (Terri) Kaylor of Butler; stepchildren, Thomas (Vicki) Baker of Evans City, Barbara Williams of Yuma, Ariz., and Julie (Robert) Green of Butler; eight grandchildren, Patrick (Saamara) Kaylor, Colby (Brian) Defoggi, Ryan (Allison) Hawk, Rebecca (Brook) Sheasley, Michael Kaylor, Timothy (Tammy) Kaylor, Josh (Sarah) Kaylor and Amy (Dominic) Giallombardo; five stepgrandchildren; and two stepgreat-grandchildren.

She also was preceded in death her husband, Everett “Pete” Baker; two sisters; and five brothers.

BAKER — There will be a private visitation for Rita Catherine Baker, who died Wednesday, Nov. 28, 2012. Services will be at the YOUNG FUNERAL HOME, Butler, at 11 a.m. Monday with her pastor, Rev. Dave West, officiating.
