Barnes

Evelyn A. Barnes, 102, of Cabot, formerly of Acme and Coraopolis, passed away peacefully on Monday at Butler Memorial Hospital with family at her side.

Born April 25, 1910, in Wilkinsburg, Pa., she was the daughter of Hugo Edvin Anderson and Emma Berg Anderson.

She was a graduate of Carnegie Tech, Margaret Morrison, in 1932, and retired from Sewickley Valley Hospital School of Nursing as a librarian.

Surviving are two sons, John E. Barnes of Ross Township and James L. (Elizabeth) Barnes of Butler; two grandchildren, Barbara (Paul) Galbraith and Alicia Barnes; and three great-grandchildren, Amanda Schmetzer and R.J. and Danielle Galbraith.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, James Porter Barnes; brother, Harry E. Anderson; and sister, Ebba Sylvander.

BARNES — Services for Evelyn A. Barnes, who passed away Monday, Nov. 26, 2012, will be private. Interment will be in Allegheny County Memorial Park.

Fox Funeral Home, Saxonburg, is assisting the family with arrangements.
