Ruth Hilda Kohler Zoelle
Ruth Hilda Kohler Zoelle, 88, of Evans City passed away Saturday at Passavant Retirement Community in Zelienople.
Born April 28, 1924, in Pittsburgh, she was the daughter of the late Raymond and Charlotte Kohler and the wife of the late Robert J. Zoelle.
Ruth was very active in her community in Evans City and in Ruskin, Fla. She was an active member for many years in the Ladies Auxiliary at the VFW in Evans City and she enjoyed bowling with the Evans City Woman's Bowling League.
During her free time, Ruth enjoyed traveling and spending time at her camp in East Brady, with her husband and family, for more than 60 years. In addition to the summer months in East Brady, they enjoyed camping in the winter months in Ruskin, Fla., with many lifetime friends. She will be dearly missed and lovingly remembered by all.
Ruth is survived by her three sons, Richard F. Zoelle and his wife, Pamela, of Harmony, Roger R. Zoelle of Renfrew and Russell D. Zoelle and his wife, Laurie, of Zelienople; her brother, Raymond Kohler and his wife, Jean, of Zelienople; her sister, Ella Mae (Kohler) Smith of Evans City; 10 grandchildren, Thomas R. Zoelle, Christopher L. Zoelle, Tara L. Yanni, Russell Zoelle Jr., Sommer Safred, Nathan Statzer, Katelyn Statzer, Shelly Zoelle, Laura Heller and Shannon Heyl; and 11 great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert J. Zoelle; her sister, Alice Reitlinger and her husband, Joseph; and her brother-in law, Phillip Smith.
ZOELLE — Ruth Hilda Kohler Zoelle passed away Saturday, Nov. 24, 2012. The Zoelle family will welcome friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today and from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Boylan Funeral Home, 324 E. Grandview Ave., Zelienople.Funeral services will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home with Pastor Wilfred Goetze officiating.
