Mildred I. 'Mimi' Buzzard
Mildred I. “Mimi” Buzzard, 85, of Butler, formerly of Cornell Drive and Lowrie House, passed away at 5:10 a.m. Sunday at the Sunnyview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
She was born March 18, 1927, in Bradys Bend to the late William Andrew Hiles and Belinda Irene Salsgiver Hiles.
Mrs. Buzzard attended school until she was 13 and quit to raise her six brothers and sisters. She worked as a wedding gown cleaner and spotter at Hutchison’s Dry Cleaners in Butler until her retirement in 2004.
Mrs. Buzzard was a member of the Trinity Presbyterian Church. She enjoyed sewing, quilting, crocheting, traveling and spending time with her great-niece, Cassie, and her great-nephew, Mason.
Mrs. Buzzard is survived by two sisters, Roseann Hiles of Sun Lake, Ariz., and Esther Senopole and her husband, James, of Butler; one sister-in-law, Loretta Hiles of Phoenix; one brother-in-law, Claude Dean Larimore of Karns City; a number of nieces and nephews, including Patricia Larimore, Michael Larimore and his wife, Donna, William A. Senopole and his wife, Debbie, and James M. Senopole and his wife, Jennifer; three great-nieces, Chelsea Hill, Cassie Senopole and Allison Perry; and four great-nephews, Matthew, Michael and Mason Senopole and Andrew Larimore.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Melvin Buzzard, who she married July 2, 1962, and who passed away Jan. 20, 1986; three brothers, Lloyd, Roy and George Hiles; and one sister, Mary Ann Larimore.
BUZZARD — Friends of Mildred I. “Mimi” Buzzard, who passed away Sunday, Nov. 25, 2012, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, 124 E. North St., Butler.Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home with the Rev. Richard Rowe of Trinity Presbyterian Church officiating.
