Martha Louise Shanosky, 93, of Portersville, Slippery Rock Township, Lawrence County, passed away at approximately 11:30 a.m. Thursday at Cranberry Place in Cranberry Township.

She was born in Marshall, Okla., on Sept. 18, 1919, to Louis Jefferson Dishman and Emma Ahrnsbrak Dishman.

She married Joseph Frank Shanosky on June 2, 1956, who died Nov. 7, 2003.

She graduated from Marshall High School in Oklahoma and attended business school. She was a credit union manager. She had attended St. Peter Roman Catholic Church in Slippery Rock. She enjoyed sewing, and gardening.

Surviving are two daughters, Carol L. Lewicke of Portersville and Susan K. Fortunato (Mark) of Pittsburgh. Also surviving are four grandchildren, Stephanie, Elizabeth and Mark Joseph Fortunato and Mark Lewicke; and two great-grandchildren, Katlyn Lewicke and Easton Grover.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; two grandchildren, Marcia Lewicke and Janet Lewicke; two brothers; and two sisters.

SHANOSKY — The services for Martha Louise Shanosky, who passed away Thursday, Nov. 15, 2012, will be private. There will be no public services.Interment will be in Sky-View Memorial Park, 108 Lafayette Drive, Tamaqua, Pa.Arrangements are by Smith Funeral Home, 421 New Castle St., Slippery Rock.
