Devin Taylor scored 10 points and added 15 rebounds, but the Slippery Rock University men's basketball team could not overtake West Chester in a 56-53 loss at Morrow Field House Tuesday night.

The Rock (5-2 overall, 3-1 in the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference) led only twice in the game — 5-4 just 90 seconds into the contest and 53-52 with 45 seconds remaining.

West Chester's Eric Frans put the Golden Rams up for good at 54-53 with a shot from the paint with 19 seconds left.

Gerald Brooks also scored 10 points for The Rock.

Alexas Brown scored nine points, but the Slippery Rock University women’s basketball team lost to West Chester 83-43 at Morrow Field House Tuesday night.It was the first time this season The Rock (1-6, 0-4 in the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference) was held without a double-digit scorer.SRU trailed 41-16 at halftime and shot 28.3 percent from the field.
