Jones

Nancy T. Jones, 70, of Hillville, Perry Township, Armstrong County, died Thursday at Butler Memorial Hospital.

Born Oct. 4, 1942, she was the daughter of Leonard and Kathleen (Waugaman) Tom.

Nancy was a graduate of Highlands High School and Clarion University. She taught first grade at Chicora Elementary for six years.

On June 6, 1964, she married Jack L. Jones at the Chicora United Methodist Church. He preceded her in death on June 30, 2007.

Nancy enjoyed wildlife and bird watching, along with flower gardening. She volunteered at Chicora Elementary. Most of all, she cherished spending time with her grandson, AJ.

Surviving is her son Mark L. Jones and his companion, Cathi R. Bowser, of Hillville; one stepson, Donald Meyers and his wife, Teresa, of Klamatha Falls, Ore.; one grandson, Andrew F. “AJ” Jones of Hillville; one step-grandson, Bradley J. Bowser of Hillville; and two step-granddaughters, Jasmin and Sammi Meyers of Klamatha Falls.

Nancy was preceded in death by her parents and husband.
