Feds seek $4M restitution from Fumo

PHILADELPHIA — Federal prosecutors, nine years into their fraud investigation of former Pennsylvania state Senate Democrat Vincent Fumo, worked Friday to establish how much restitution the multimillionaire lawyer and banker should pay his victims: the state Senate, a neighborhood nonprofit and a museum.

Federal prosecutors say Fumo has the money to pay $4.2 million restitution.

A son-in-law on Fumo’s staff spent oversaw Fumo’s mansion renovation. A South Philadelphia nonprofit paid for car leases. The museum provided a yacht for Fumo’s vacations.
