Frank St. Charles Jr., 85, of East Butler passed away Monday at Sunnyview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Butler.

He was born July 5, 1927, in Louisville, Ky., the son of the late Frank and Elizabeth (McClain) St. Charles.

Frank was a member of the Faith Fellowship Alliance Church. He was an avid Bible reader and loved archeology, science fiction and sailing. He was a hydraulic technician for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers for 37 years. Frank was a devoted father and grandfather.

Surviving are his daughter, Mrs. Gary C. (Theresa) Evitt of East Butler; three grandchildren, Joshua D. and his wife, Melissa, Evitt of Toccoa, Ga., Gershom M. and his wife, Stephanie, Evitt of Butler and Abigail E. Evitt of Butler; and great-granddaughter, Raelin Sophia Evitt.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister.
