Eleanor J. Schoentag Bachman

Eleanor J. Schoentag Bachman, 85, of Monroeville, formerly of Saxonburg, Fawn Township and Port Angeles, Wash., passed away peacefully on Saturday.

She was the loving wife of the late James L. Twigg and also the wife of the late Melvin Bachman. She was the loving mother of John M. (Madelaine) Twigg; proud grandmother of Rachel Twigg, Patrick (Victoria) Twigg and Daniel Twigg; and great-grandmother of Payton James Twigg. Also surviving are her nieces and nephews.

She was the daughter of the late Robert and Anna (Wood) Schoentag and sister of Ella Mae Harvey and the late Robert Schoentag.

During Eleanor's career, she was an office manager for several local car dealerships and an office manager at Yates law office in downtown Pittsburgh. She was an active member at the Monroeville Senior Citizens Center and a member of the First Baptist Church of Monroeville.

BACHMAN — Friends of Eleanor J. Schoentag Bachman, who passed away peacefully Saturday, Nov. 10, 2012, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today at the JOBE FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY, (MONROEVILLE/PLUM CHAPEL), corner of 445 Beatty Road and 48 North, Monroeville, 412-856-4747.A funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the First Baptist Church of Monroeville.
