Nazih Youssef Saker
Nazih Youssef Saker, 69, of Mars, formerly of Young-stown, Ohio, passed away Saturday evening with his loving family by his side after a long illness.
Nazih will always be remembered and loved by his family and friends for his generosity, huge heart, and positive and full of life attitude and for the way he would always give a helping hand to anyone in need.
He was born Sept. 25, 1943, in Beijje, Lebanon, the son of Youssef and Saidee (Khoury) Saker, and moved to the United States in 1971.
Nazih retired in 1988 after working more than 30 years at the General Motors Lordstown Plant.
He was a former member of the St. Maron Church in Youngstown and enjoyed gardening, flowers, playing cards and traveling in the United States and abroad.
Nazih took great pleasure in socializing and made wine with family and friends. But, he mostly loved spending time with his family and especially his grandchildren, who were the apple of his eye.
He leaves behind to hold on to his precious memories, his wife of more than 13 years, the former Anna Ginnis, who he married Nov. 28, 1999; four children, Ursula (Tony) Bell of Boardman, Panayota Giannulis of New Castle, Nikoletta (Dimitrious) Kalogeropoulos of Mars and Emmanolia Giannulis of New York City; four grandchildren, Anthony, Frank, Anna and Athena Anna; a grandson, baby boy George due in February; and a brother, Paul (Mai) Saker and two sisters-in-law, Mantha Saker and Nazira Saker, all of Lebanon.
In addition to his parents, Nazih was preceded in death by his first wife, the former Susan Abraham, who he married March 11, 1972, and who died July 10, 1985; and two brothers, Ellias Saker and Saker Saker.

Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today at the Rossi & Santucci Funeral Home, 4700 Market St., Boardman, Ohio, where the prayers of incense prayer service will be at 7 p.m. today, and again from 9 to 9:50 a.m. Wednesday at the St. Maron Church, 1555 S. Meridian Road, Youngstown.There will be a Divine liturgy of Christian burial at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the St. Maron Church with Chorbishop Michael Kail officiating.
