Butler County residents can learn how to handle emergency situations by taking an American Red Cross preparedness, health and safety course.

The following classes are offered in December at the Red Cross office, 312 Mercer St.

• 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday — babysitter's training

• 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Dec. 11 — CPR/AED for professional rescuers and health care providers

• 6 to 9:30 p.m. Dec. 13 — Adult CPR/AED

• 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Dec. 15 — Adult CPR/AED

• 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Dec. 15 — Adult and Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED

• 9 a.m. to noon Dec. 18 — Adult CPR/AED Review.
