Carl George McComb
Carl George McComb, 66, of Slippery Rock Borough, Butler County, passed away in Butler Memorial Hospital at 4:32 p.m. Wednesday following a three-week illness.
He was born in Pittsburgh on Sept. 20, 1946, to George A. McComb and Alice Dorothy Kaiser McComb.
He married Georgia Rose Stromberg on Aug. 14, 1965.
He was an auto mechanic, an avid Pittsburgh Steelers' fan, enjoyed NASCAR and loved music.
Survivors include his wife, Georgia McComb of Slippery Rock; three sons, Errek G. McComb and his wife, Debbie, of New Albany, Pa., Alex D. McComb and his wife, Erin, of Bethel Park and Mark A. McComb and his wife, Wilma, of Myrtle Beach, S.C.; one sister, Audrey Patterson of Pittsburgh; two brothers, John McComb of Avalon, Pa., and Bill McComb of Cranberry Township; and three grandchildren, Alex McComb II and Kayla and Courtney McComb. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Barbara Seitz.
MCCOMB — Carl George McComb passed away Wednesday, Oct. 31, 2012. The family will observe a private memorial service at the Smith Funeral Home, 421 New Castle St., Slippery Rock, on Saturday with the Rev. Deborah L. Evanovich, pastor of the Southminster Presbyterian Church, Mt. Lebanon, officiating.
