Donald Stephenson

Donald Gregory Stephenson, 80, of Adamstown, Md., and formerly of West View, Allegheny County, died Monday at Frederick Memorial Hospital in Maryland.

He was the loving husband of 57 years to Marylou Sbraccia Stephenson.

Born in West View, on April 28, 1932, he was a son of the late Raymond Gregory and Mary Elizabeth Magill Stephenson.

Mr. Stephenson proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy aboard the USS Northampton.

After the Navy, he earned a bachelor of arts in psychology at Catholic University. He retired from the federal government where he was a probation and parole officer.

After retirement, he kept busy and was involved in a variety of other interesting jobs. He also was a volunteer for the White House Comment Line.

He was an active member of the St. Joseph-on-Carrollton Manor Catholic Church and served as an extraordinary minister.

Surviving in addition to his wife are two children, one son, Brian D. Stephenson of Harrisburg; one daughter, Susan Walden of Rockville, Md.; one brother, William Stephenson of Florida; five grandsons, Thomas Stephenson, Michael Stephenson, Nicholas Walden, Matthew Walden and Ryan Walden; and many nieces and nephews.

STEPHENSON — A memorial Mass for Donald Gregory Stephenson, who died Monday, Oct. 22, 2012, will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Saturday at the St. Joseph-on-Carrollton Manor Catholic Church, 5842 Manor Woods Road, Frederick, Md. The Rev. Lawrence K. Frazier will be the celebrant. Private interment will be at a later date.A reception will follow the service at Buckingham's Choice, 3200 Bakers Circle, Adamstown, Md.Arrangements are with the Keeney and Basford Funeral Home, 106 E.
