Lloyd E. Sheakley
Lloyd E. Sheakley, 82, of Church Street, Petrolia, passed away at 3:33 a.m. Saturday at Butler Memorial Hospital.
Mr. Sheakley was born in Petrolia on Oct. 25, 1929. He was the son of Herbert Wayne and Cleora Henry Sheakley.
Lloyd was a graduate of Fairview Township-Karns City High School and was employed at Witco Chemical in Petrolia for more than 47 years, retiring in 1993.
He was a longtime member of the Petrolia Presbyterian Church and was a life member of the Petrolia Volunteer Fire Department. He was a member of the SOI in Bradys Bend and the North Butler Hunting and Fishing Club. Lloyd enjoyed hunting, fishing, visiting his camp and attending horse races.
Mr. Sheakley was preceded in death by his wife, Audrey M. Campbell Sheakley, who he married in Evans City on July 1, 1950. She passed away Oct. 23, 1994.
Surviving are four children, Greg C. Sheakley and his wife, Mary, of Karns City, Ann Warren and her companion, Doug Bellis, of Chicora, Doug W. Sheakley and his wife, Debbie, of Karns City and Denise I. Price and her husband, Mike, of Petrolia; a sister, Bonnie Blair and her husband, Gene, of Petrolia; eight grandchildren, Holly Jones and her husband, Todd, of Chicora, Hilary Williams and her husband, Kris, of Karns City, Rebecca Huff and her husband, Jason, of Bruin, Jessica Bell and her husband, Bob, of Butler, Shaun Sheakley of Karns City, Jamie Saylor and her husband, Bob, of Bruin, Josh Price and his wife, Amy, of Bruin, and Melanie Price and her fiancé, Travis Reed, of Petrolia; 17 great-grandchildren, Maren, Dalton, Koen, Emily, Ashley, Nicole, Jacob, Rylan, Izyk, Lyric, Torin, Marlee, Danika, Landen, Lyrik, Lathan and Aubrey; and a number of nieces, nephews and cousins. Also surviving is Lloyd's close friend, Jean Baker of Karns City, and Trixie.
SHEAKLEY — Friends of Lloyd E. Sheakley, who passed away Saturday, Oct. 20, 2012, will be received at the Hile Funeral Home of Chicora, 339 Chicora Fenelton Road, Chicora, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday.Funeral services will be at the funeral home at 1 p.m. Wednesday with the Rev. Dennis Barger, a longtime family friend and pastor of the Scrubgrass Stone Church, officiating.
