JEFFERSON TWP — Concordia Lutheran Ministries is again opening its Adopt-A-Resident Program to the community.

Each resident at the participating locations has been asked to provide a wish list. Interested individuals, businesses or congregations may call the facility of their choice to “adopt” a resident and purchase Christmas gifts for that person. For those who prefer to send a general gift, Concordia can suggest some newly purchased items that residents typically use.

CENTER TWP — There will be a lunch with Santa and the Butler cheerleaders from noon to 2 p.m. Dec. 8 at the Center Township Elementary SchoolThere will be lunch, crafts, games and fun.Registration and information is available at www.butlercheer.com, click on Winter Clinic.

CRANBERRY TWP — St. Ferdinand Church, 2535 Rochester Road, will host a New Year's Eve party starting at 7:30 p.m. Dec. 31 at the Marriott North, Route 228.Tickets must be purchased in advance. They will be sold after Mass at the church and during business hours at the education building or they may be purchased by calling 724-776-9177, Ext 313, or 724-779-3986. Proceeds benefit the St. Ferdinand building fund.

HARMONY — The Harmony Museum’s annual Giving Tree, a live evergreen in the museum garden, is trimmed each Christmas through tax-deductible donations by individuals, families and businesses.Each specified $10 contribution places an ornament bearing the donor’s name on the tree. Proceeds support museum activities.The museum is operated by Historic Harmony, a nonprofit historical society and preservation advocate.Donations should be sent to Giving Tree, Historic Harmony, P.O.
