Martin Newcomer
Martin Newcomer, 99, of Cranberry Township passed away Monday.
Born in Elizabeth, N.J., on March 29, 1913, he was the son of the late Martin and Edith (Stacey) Newcomer. He was the beloved husband of the late Virginia (Bensley) Newcomer.
He was the loving father of Martin (Kathleen) Newcomer IV of Cranberry Township, J. David (Deborah) Newcomer of Gotha, Fla., William T. (Deborah) Newcomer of Valencia and Janet N. (Charles E.) Crone of Ann Arbor, Mich.; and the brother of Jane (James) Smith of Zelienople, and the late Marjorie Cook and George F. Newcomer. He also is survived by seven grandchildren, Amanda Newcomer, Jonathan Newcomer, Annie Morris Simcoe, Sara Newcomer, Kathleen Crone, Christopher Crone and Thomas Crone.
Martin received his bachelor of science from the University of Michigan and was a member of the Western Pennsylvania Model Railroad Museum of Gibsonia.
NEWCOMER — Family and friends of Martin Newcomer, who died Monday, Oct. 8, 2012, are invited to a memorial service in the auditorium of Sherwood Oaks Retirement Community, Cranberry Township, on Oct. 20 at 2 p.m.
