Thomas Schneider
Thomas J. Schneider, 65, of Lancaster Township passed away Thursday while surrounded by his loving family in the comfort of his home.
Born Dec. 1, 1946, in Pittsburgh, he was the beloved son of the late Joseph and Mary (Ott) Schneider.
Tom was the proud owner of Tom Schneider Home Improvement and Repair. He was extremely active with all of the Seneca Valley sporting programs and the Zelienople community sporting events, where he was actively involved with American Legion baseball. In addition, he participated with the Seneca Valley Band Boosters program. He was a current Zelienople Community Park board member and was a former member of the Kiwanis.
He will be fondly remembered as the jolly man who played Santa Claus during the Christmas holidays in the Zelienople community. Tom had a great respect, admiration and appreciation for the nurses at the UPMC Cancer Center at Passavant for such wonderful care and his family would like to extend a warm thank you to all of them.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory his wife, Carol (Hoffman) Schneider; his five children, Thomas J. Schneider Jr. and his wife, Jolene, of Seattle, Wash., Brock W. Schneider of the South Side, Nicholas Hewlett and his wife, Stacy, of Harmony, Ryan Hewlett of Lancaster and Robin Hewlett of Columbia, South America; his sister, Mary Ann Collins and her husband, Robert, of Dormont; two precious grandchildren, Gabriella Schneider and Elsa Hewlett; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Tom was preceded in death by his wife, Nancy (Lamm) Schneider, who passed away on July 24, 1993.

Grandview Ave., Zelienople.A blessing service will be celebrated on Saturday at 10 a.m. at St. Gregory Catholic Church, 2 W. Beaver St., Zelienople, with the Rev.
