Joseph John Angelo
Joseph John Angelo, 85, of Cranberry Township passed away Tuesday at UPMC Passavant Hospital, McCandless Township.
Joe was born April 27, 1927, in Pittsburgh, as the son of the late John Angelo and Adele Constance.
He served his country in the U.S. Navy and during that time he became a champion boxer in his weight division.
Joe became a sales agent, employed by General Electric for most of his life and was the recipient of many awards for his efforts.
In his later years, he was a resident of Sherwood Oaks and was a joy to all who met him. In his spare time, Joe fancied himself as a woodworker and had a passion for playing pool, in which he loved to challenge his friends to play. Above all, he was down-to- earth, friendly to everyone and a really great guy to be around.
Joe is survived by his three daughters, Deborah Vanasdale of New Castle, Pattijean Curtis of California and Loreen Angelo of California; his brother, Ernest Angelo of Florida; his sisters, Rosemary Coughenour of Lancaster, N.Y., and Doreen Kohne of McMurray; his seven grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, Joe was preceded in death by his two daughters, Jolene Lucente and Joanne Lacy.
