LOCK HAVEN — Stephanie Case finished fourth overall at the NCAA Division II Atlantic Regional Women's Cross Country Championships Saturday at Lock Haven to earn an individual berth to the national championships, which will be held Nov. 17 in Joplin, Mo.
Case covered the 6K race course with a time of 21 minutes, 7 seconds.
The top 25 overall finishers are named to the All-Region team. Case was joined by teammate Kara Styles, who finished 24th at 22:04.
SRU finished seventh as a squad with 227 points. Shippensburg won the title with 70 points.
The SRU men's team placed all five of its runners in the top 25 to earn fourth at the Atlantic Regional Championships.
Edinboro won the event with 34 points, while Lock Haven and East Stroudsburg tied for second at 95 points.
Chris Grooms (Butler) led SRU's attack with a 12th place finish (a 10K time of 31:45) followed by Eric Geddis (Seneca Valley, 18th, 31:59), Morgan Elliott (21st, 32:02), Travis Arrigoni (22nd, 32:03) and Alex Koksal (24th, 32:03).
