Gerald W. Darkowski, 75, of Washington Township, Petrolia, passed away suddenly of natural causes at his home Wednesday afternoon.

He was born on Feb. 6, 1937, in Pittsburgh.

Gerald retired as a boilermaker with LTV Steel in Pittsburgh with more than 30 years service.

He was a member of the St. Louis Catholic Church of West Sunbury and was an honorably discharged veteran of service with the Pennsylvania National Guard.

Surviving are his wife, Donna Kazyak Darkowski; and four children, Melissa Elk of Parker, Diane Ringeisen and James and Gerald Darkowski, all of Pittsburgh; eight grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and one sister of Pittsburgh.
