David Goehring

David A. Goehring, 91, of Cranberry Township passed away on Thursday at Butler Memorial Hospital.

Born June 2, 1921, in Johnstown, he was the son of the late Wesley A. and the late Laura M. (Meredith) Goehring.

David was a licensed certified operator of water pollution plants in Pennsylvania under the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection. He was a member of various water pollution control associations, including the western section of the state association, the federal association for 37 years, the American Waterworks Association and the Pennsylvania Water Plant Operators Association. He also was a former president of the Cranberry Rotary Club.

David received many awards from these organizations of which he was very proud. He worked for the Cranberry Water Authority as the operator for 13 years and was self-employed for the last 30 years in water pollution control.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his four loving daughters, Laura Jean Kotewicz of Millersburg, Ohio, Margy A. Goehring of Butler, Mary E. Stinson of Cranberry Township and Susan M. Duffy of New Castle; nine loving grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-granddaughter.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Lenora B. (Kirby) Goehring; his granddaughter, Mary Elizabeth Kapetanovich; his great-grandson, Anthony Mark Scheck; his sister, Edith M. Heckard; and his brother, Clair H. Goehring.

GOEHRING — David A. Goehring passed away on Thursday, Oct. 4, 2012. The Goehring family will welcome friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at Glenn-Kildoo Funeral Home, 130 Wisconsin Ave., Cranberry Township.A celebration of life service will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home with the Rev.
