A mother/daughter class from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Thursday will be offered by the Education and Clinical Advancement Center at Butler Memorial Hospital.
The class will be in the Nixon Sarver classrooms located in the tower addition on the hospital's main campus, 480 E. Jefferson St.
Mothers and their 9-to-12-year-old daughters will discuss changes that occur during puberty and ways to enhance communication skills.

HARMONY — Harmony Museum will hold its annual German Christmas market, WeihnachtsMarkt, Saturday and Sunday in Harmony.WeihnachtsMarkt is held in the tradition of Christmas markets held throughout Germany, primarily outdoors.There will be German food, entertainment, museum tours, horse-drawn wagon rides and old-time craftsmen and women.Santa and Mrs. Claus will arrive on a horse- drawn wagon to provide photograph opportunities. CRANBERRY TWP — Local historian John L. Ford will give a presentation on the Underground Railroad of the Pittsburgh area at 2 p.m. Sunday in the Cranberry Township Municipal Building's council chambers, 2525 Rochester Road.Ford will talk about routes slaves took, the safe houses in the Pittsburgh area, the danger the slaves faced, and he'll dispel some myths about the railroad.The talk is free and light refreshments will be served.
SLIPPERY ROCK — The Slippery Rock Community Library's fall fundraiser, Casino Night, will be from 7 to 9 p.m. Nov. 17 at Alumni House at Slippery Rock University.Attendees can play roulette, Texas hold 'em, baby craps and blackjack.
